Martti Anttila is a tenor and an occasional film composer based in Helsinki, Finland. Martti Anttila appears as a soloist and ensemble singer on many acclaimed recordings by the Helsinki Chamber Choir (for example Album of the Year by Finnish National Radio, Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik Bestenliste 2016 and 2021, Emma Nomination 2020, 2021 and 2022). ”...supported by Martti Anttila’s gleaming tenor as Pilate – bright-toned and with an unerring ability to ennoble a handful of notes in what is sometimes a most unpromising phrase, yet consistently holding the ear with his musical intelligence.” - Opera Today 12/2021, Arvo Pärt: Passio Anttila has also composed music for several acclaimed short films, and his first feature film Poissa (directed by Arttu Haglund) was screened at the Midnight Sun Film Festival, Helsinki International Film Festival and it won awards at Fantaspoa Festival in Brazil and Fantasporto Festival in Portugal. Anttila's choral compositions have received prizes in Lohtajan kirkkomusiikkijuhlat and in the P. J. Hannikainen competition in 2022. His works have been published by Sulasol.
