Eric Hollaway, known worldwide as thatbassvoice®, is a genre-bending vocalist from St. Petersburg, Florida, recognized for an exceptionally deep, versatile voice and a rare five-octave range. He brings signature sub-bass warmth to soul, lo-fi, jazz, trip-hop, and cinematic pop—onstage, on record, and across the internet. His viral collaborations include Valhalla Calling (Trio Version) with Miracle Of Sound, Hoist The Colours with The Bass Singers of TikTok, The Last Elder with Excision, Oath to Order with Theophany, and Steve’s Going to London with AJR. In 2024, he released his debut album Jazz•ish, recorded in New York with jazz pianist Benito Gonzalez. Though its launch was dimmed by the tragic loss of both his parents just one week apart, the album earned critical acclaim—including a Jazz Weekly feature that noted jazz’s hunger for a leading male bass voice. Beyond music, Eric is an IMDb-listed voice actor (Voodoo Detective; The House of the Dead: Remake) and a commercial/brand VO talent. He’s also the voice source of ASTERIAN, the commercial AI bass vocalist from Eclipsed Sounds for Synthesizer V—built from his performances to help songwriters and producers express their creativity in ways they couldn’t otherwise reach. Not just heard—felt.
