“The sharpest tongue of Dancehall” – this is how Politiken, one of Denmark’s leading newspapers, describes Kaka, a key figure in the Danish dancehall scene. With his charismatic flow, infectious energy, and heartfelt lyrics, he has won over both critics and fans. His gold-certified singles ‘Bang Bang (Reggaejam)’ and ‘En Sidste Sang’ have solidified his status, while his electrifying live performances have taken him to Denmark’s biggest stages. Kaka started in the Copenhagen underground scene and got his breakthrough at 18 when he featured on Wafande’s platinum hit ‘Gi’ Mig Et Smil’ (2011). His debut single ‘Bang Bang (Reggaejam)’ (2012) became ‘Ugens Uundgåelige’ on DR P3, leading to his debut EP. In 2013, he received gold certification for ‘Bang Bang (Reggaejam)’, played Roskilde Festival, and toured with Donkey Sound on Grøn Koncert. His hit ‘En Sidste Sang’ reached #4 on the Airplay Chart and went gold for streaming. His debut album ‘Alle Kigger’ (2016) received 4- and 5-star reviews, and in 2023, he returned with ‘Kilimanjaro’, blending dancehall with highlife, bongo flava, and amapiano, exploring his African roots. With fresh music and high-energy performances, Kaka remains one of Denmark’s leading dancehall artists.
