ABOUT is a Korean singer-songwriter based in New York and Seoul. Since 2019, he has explored the dual themes of self-love and loneliness through his music. "I always say my music is ‘cry together music’," 4BOUT shared in a 2023 interview. "It’s okay to feel too much. That’s what my music is for." His journey as a musician unfolded gradually. He began writing and recording in New York City, leading to the release of his debut EP, Miserable (2020), which resonated deeply with a dedicated fanbase. His work is both ambitious and immersive, spanning projects like the double album Fortunate Islands, the conceptual trilogy ANGER, EROS, and CHILDHOOD, as well as the collaborative EP [OMNIBUS]. In 2024, he released [Star Crossed Lovers], an EP exploring the sorrowful stories of doomed relationships. Beyond his own artistry, 4BOUT is an established composer and music director, contributing to large-scale productions, including major K-Dramas and top-tier idol projects. His ability to craft emotionally resonant music has led him to work on projects with a reach extending to global platforms. At its core, his music invites listeners to embrace every emotion fully. "You don’t have to be happy to listen to my music. Just be too much with me—in my music and in my lyrics," he reflected in the same interview. "Do nothing. Daydream."
