Nochi

Nochi is a Costa Rican musician, producer, and ethnomusicologist, graduated from the Conservatorio de Castella. His sound blends acoustic instruments, DJ sets, electronic music, and Latin American roots, moving through Cumbia, Calypso, Afro, Footwork, Dub Reggae, Latin Club, and Dembow. His latest album, Sinergia, is now out on all digital platforms. The project explores Costa Rican bioacoustics and contemporary electronic music through ten collaborative tracks, connecting nature, tradition, experimentation, and dance. As part of the album, “Food Joke” feat. Huba Watson won the ACAM Award 2026 for Electronic Music. Nochi is also the creator of AFROCUMBIA, a musical and cultural platform connecting African and Latin American sounds, and co-founder of D.U.B. Deep Underground Beats, an artist agency that has been part of Costa Rica’s electronic music scene for two decades.
