Baba The Fayahstudent

Born and raised in Switzerland, Baba discovered his passion for reggae music early in life, drawn by its powerful messages of righteousness and consciousness. Baba's musical odyssey began in 2003 with the founding of the Skankin'Lion Tribe soundsystem, showcasing his early passion for music. He immersed himself into the culture, studying its roots and mastering its intricate rhythms and melodies. His dedication earned him the nickname "Fayahstudent", reflecting his role as both a disciple and torchbearer of the genre's fiery spirit. He later joined the HipHop crew Frontlinetroop, releasing their debut EP Breacking the Rules in 2006, followed by the album Auf Messers Schneide in 2010. In 2011, Baba embarked on his solo career with the release of the single "Greatest Gift," marking the beginning of a prolific journey as a solo artist. Collaborations with renowned producers such as Don Rankin and Blend Mishkin helped catapult Baba onto the international stage, with tracks like Leggo mi Hand (Question Riddim) and Ready Fi Dis gaining traction worldwide. Over the years, Baba The Fayahstudent has put in a lot of work, including his Ep My Way and several singles, further solidifying his reputation as a significant force.
