From the enchanting shores of Kaua'i, Kazi Jay blends the ethereal sounds of Billie Eilish, the emotional depth of Eva Cassidy, and the jazz-infused warmth of Norah Jones, creating a sound that is unmistakably her own. Growing up on the island, Kazi's surroundings have profoundly influenced her creativity, instilling a resilience that inspires her to transform life's toughest moments into soul filled music, that sets her apart and connects her to the listeners who can actually hear her. Her talent in thought provoking lyrics, Kazi brings listeners with her as she transmutes pain, love, and everything that lies between. At 23, Kazi faced the devastating loss of her mother, a turning point that allowed her artistry to emerge in its rawest form. In 2023, she released her debut album, following a breakout feature with EDM legend Armin Van Buuren, which showcased her impressive songwriting and storytelling gifts. Kazi wrote, produced, and directed the entire project, sealing her undeniable "it" factor. Currently the Artist has launched Play Hanalei, Kaua’i’s first music school and writing program on the north shore, nurturing the next generation of artists.
