Marie Dassel

Marie Dassel is a harpist and composer whose journey to music has taken an unconventional path. Trained as a lawyer, she initially followed a career chosen for stability rather than creativity, while music remained a constant and deeply personal part of her life. Her family never encouraged music as a professional path, but Marie never gave up on it. After completing law school, she eventually began recording her own compositions, creating her own route into music when no conventional path seemed available. Working with the harp, Marie creates intimate, atmospheric compositions rooted in contemporary and neoclassical music. Her music combines delicate melodies, spacious textures and emotional depth, inviting moments of stillness, reflection and escape. For Marie, music is not simply a career she chose. It is a path she refused to abandon. https://www.mariedassel.com
