Senjay is a South African music producer and DJ from Pretoria. Recognised for his distinctive approach to Amapiano, he blends the soulful elegance of Private School Amapiano with the raw energy of Sgija and Afro Tech. Inspired by producers such as Dukesoul, Chymamusique and TekniQ. Senjay has developed a sound that balances emotion, rhythm and musicality. His journey began playing drums in church before teaching himself music production. Over the years, Senjay has collaborated with some of Amapiano’s most notable names including Major League DJz, Vigro Deep, DBN Gogo, Focalistic and Mellow & Sleazy. His growing catalogue features releases such as Space, 012 Chants, Blue String, Xikuteka and NgiSexy, showcasing his ability to move effortlessly between soulful storytelling and high energy club records. These collaborations have established him as one of the genre’s versatile emerging producers.
