Biography & Metadata
SMK is a multi-cultured producer and artist born in Cambodia, raised in Zambia, and brought up by German parents. His richly diverse background is reflected in his production style—blending syncopated African rhythms with subtle Asian melodies, layered within Afrobeats, Pop, and RnB influences. SMK has collaborated with some of Somalia’s biggest artists, including Lil Baliil and IsmaIP, and has released a collaboration album with Berlin-based artist Rubin Kind. His eclectic sound is both captivating and unmistakably his own.
