Biography & Metadata
Kyle Lucas has spent the better part of two decades making music, collecting frequent flyer miles, and explaining to people that, yes, he was actually on David Letterman. Born in New Jersey and raised in Marietta, Georgia, Kyle first made waves as the frontman of Vonnegutt, catching the attention of Outkast legend Big Boi , who signed the group to Purple Ribbon Records. That led to national television appearances on Letterman, Lopez Tonight, and The Mo’Nique Show, along with performances at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and Warped Tour. Since then, Kyle has collaborated with artists including G-Eazy, Machine Gun Kelly, blackbear, Jonny Craig, Killer Mike, and members of Cartel. Not bad for a kid from suburban Georgia who probably should've had a backup plan. Blending sharp lyricism, melodic hooks, and an occasionally unhealthy amount of emotional honesty, Kyle carved out his own lane somewhere between alternative hip-hop, pop-punk, and whatever genre Spotify decides to call it this week. His solo albums *Marietta, Georgia: The Album* and *Almost Famous, Almost Broke* showcase his versatility. The latter also doubles as a fairly accurate description of the music industry. With new music, including the deeply personal single “Fallen” featuring Camm Hunter, Kyle continues to evolve as an artist and songwriter. Almost famous. Almost broke. Still making music.
