Sascha Funke

Born in East Berlin, Sascha Funke has been a key figure in Berlin’s electronic music scene since the late 1990s. His distinctive sound moves between house, minimal techno, electronic music and leftfield club rhythms, shaped by hypnotic grooves, detailed sound design and unexpected melodic turns. Over the years, he has released on influential labels including Kompakt, Turbo Recordings, Running Back and BPitch, with acclaimed releases such as Mango (BPitch, 2008) and MZ (Turbo Recordings, 2016). Together with Julienne Dessagne aka Fantastic Twins, he formed Saschienne, releasing the acclaimed album Unknown on Kompakt in 2012. Their live performances have taken them to festivals and venues including MUTEK, ADE, Electronic Beats, DGTL and Tauron Nowa Muzyka. His music has also appeared in campaigns, film and television, including work for APM Monaco, Samsung, FOX Sports, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and Doug Aitken.
