Biography & Metadata

You may recognize M A E S T R O as an artist, producer, and actor, but he simply considers himself, “A man with a plan who will figure it out by any means necessary.” Throughout two decades in entertainment, his plan hustle brought him from the South Side of Chicago to the highest heights of Hollywood. That is everything from starring on HBO’s The Wire and headlining his own sitcom UPN’s Guys Like Us to the Broadway production of The Lion King and roles in AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead, Showtime’s House of Lies, and 2018’s Unsolved Season 1: The Murders of 2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G.
His music remains as diverse as his acting resume. At the age of 12, he worked under Jermaine Dupri signing to Def Jam at 15, working with NO I.D. and even contributed piano to Nas Life Is Good (Deluxe). M A E S T R O then began producing and DJ-ing dance music under his full name Maestro Harrell Within three years he clocked over 11million streams and earned a spot on Tiësto Club Life, Vol. 4 - New York City.
In 2017, he began releasing music under the moniker M A E S T R O fusing his own production with melodic sensibilities and throwback reverence for wordplay. Bringing a new fire to hip-hop starting with the self produced single Which One Which featured in the 2018 Blum House film The First Purge. He released his, self produced WAV GOD EP which has racked up over 1 million streams in under 5 months. His newest single Stay FLYY is featured in the HBO show Euphoria season finale.
