🌌 Reoccurring dreams in song form 🌌 Sam is a multi-instrumentslist, singer, and songwriter from Nashville, TN. He uses real guitars, an electric keyboard, and hardware synthesizers to create alt-synthpop music, fused with influences of Funk Disco and Metal. His first singles, Moonsmoke and Scenequeen, were produced by Bryant Lowry and Joseph Jett of Jet Black Alley Cat, with Lowry engineering the tracks. These songs inadvertently landed DREAMPOCKET notoriety in the Retro/Synthwave scene. The Moonsmoke music video was featured in the Latido Beats TV rotation. The third single, Starshine, is a collaboration with synthwave legend M.K. Khan, who composed the synth portion while Sam handled lyrics, vocals, and guitars. DREAMPOCKET's fourth single, Nightpeople, leaned into dancey disco influence, while still maintaining retro-synth flavors and a flowing guitar performance. It was produced by Wyatt X. Rollercoaster followed, a piano-driven nod to 90s pop that was selected for in-store playlists in malls and gyms across the world. Love.Language.Rhythm and Landing Zone were born of the same sessions, both leaning into the Funk/Disco influence. Now self-produced, a cover of Christmas Island by Depeche Mode, Outrun The Night, Detect, and Driftoff feat. Out Runner takes aim at Synthwave, Prog-rock, Trance, and Industrial tones. Sam then performed vocals on a slightly dancey 80s take on Lachryma by Ghost with The Blue Book Project and Shred Krueger.
