claire nichols

lyric-driven man-eater electro-pop, gross girls only. Denver born artist and songwriter, claire nichols is a bitch!! but at least she’s embarrassed about it (stream “the dog song” it’s good!) Nichols brings a candid and confessional approach to songwriting, neatly folding complex emotions into tight, tangible metaphors. Songs written by Nichols have been featured on the official Grammy's pride month playlist, Spotify’s Fresh Finds, and written about in publications such as Fashionably Early and Ones To Watch. She’s been a part of writing camps with Anti Social Club, She is the Music, and has been featured at the BMI acoustic lounge. Nichols’ knack for quirky yet conversational lyrics comes to life in her live performance. Accompanied by her band and tracks, nichols stands out with a high energy stage presence. Coupled with a penchant for humorous, often self effacing anecdotes, nichols strikes a compelling balance between the intimacy expected from indie artists, and the professionalism offered by stadium touring pop stars. Her debut EP “good politician” has been called “a tour de force of a future star” (Jack Kennedy). She’s currently studying at NYU's Clive Davis Institute for Recorded Music and can frequently be found gigging + giggling around the city.
