C37

Hi, I’m Paul, the creator and musician behind C37, crafting emotional, downtempo music from England’s serene Lake District. I hope you enjoy listening to the tracks – they function very much like diary entries for me. Music has been my creative haven since I began writing songs as a teen (I started out in a heavy rock band, but we moved quite quickly to more contemplative, more experimental sounds). Personally, I gravitated toward electronic music, influenced by the rave culture of the 90s. It helped me create my own signature C37 sound, based on simple and heartfelt piano pieces layered with guitar and electronic textures. So if you listen to C37, you may find an affinity with bands and artists that I really appreciate: Motorpsycho, Explosions in the Sky, Two Lanes, Klur, Yotto; but also Olafur Arnolds and Nils Hoffman’s piano compositions. As an artist, I hope you find in C37 similar feelings as those I feel when listening to these artists, and when composing. Paul
