Dot., or Aditi Saigal, is a multi-hyphenate talent. She is amongst the rare breed of actor-artistes in India, exploring and expressing herself creatively as an actor, singer, composer and songwriter. Dot. has received unanimous acclaim for her acting debut as an actor-singer-composer-writer in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies on Netflix. She played the endearing and rooted Ethel Muggs in the musical. She has, of course, been a bonafide musician for a number of years now; her new album (of older material) 'Practice Rooms' is out now. The origin of "Dot." as her stage name is a touching tale. At age 10, while colouring with her mom, a simple conversation about dots outside the lines left a lasting impression. Her mom’s insight that "dots never hurt anyone and make things interesting" resonated deeply, highlighting the significance of the unassuming dot—a small entity capable of becoming extraordinary without pretence.
