South Florida-born with Jamaican and English roots, A.Chic grew up in a multicultural soundscape that shaped her genre-blending artistry. From the bass-heavy energy of Uncle Luke and ’90s dancehall to the boundary-pushing creativity of Missy Elliott, Kanye West, Kelis, Major Lazer, and Solange, and the razor-sharp lyricism and storytelling of Vybz Kartel, OutKast, and Tanya Stephens, her influences reflect both her Caribbean heritage and her love for music that defies limits. A.Chic earned her stripes as a songwriter and collaborator for some of today’s biggest names, including Nicki Minaj, Jennie, Saweetie, Kashdoll, Monaleo, Jacquees and Flo Milli, and also crafted the music for hit TV series like Rap Sh!t and P-Valley.
