Djy Biza

Djy Biza is a pioneering, self-taught producer from Soshanguve and Mabopane, widely hailed as a key architect of the Amapiano sound. Known as the "King of Mozambique," he was the seminal force behind the sub-genre of the same name. He co-created the foundational "Broken Beat" technique and is respected by peers as Tatane Biza ("The Godfather"). He leads the collective The Piano Meditators, a movement reflecting the spiritual depth of his music. His commercial hits include the multi-platinum "Hade," "Yebo Lapho," and the cross-continental "Yebo" feat. Davido. As a creative force, he has produced for Uncle Waffles, Vigro Deep, TxC and more, and has graced stages worldwide, from headlining UK shows to opening for Gunna. Djy Biza continues to be a pillar of the genre, pushing Amapiano to global heights.
