Biography & Metadata
Jenee Fleenor is a singer, songwriter, recording artist and studio musician originally from Springdale, Arkansas, currently holding the title as the reigning 5 time CMA Musician of the Year. She was just a toddler when her musical journey began as she started Suzuki classical violin lessons but it was her dream of being on recording sessions that drove her to leave Springdale fresh out of high school in 2001. Jenee’s dream has become reality as she is one of the most sought-after session musicians of the day and has played on countless hit songs like Jon Pardi’s “Heartache Medication” and “Dirt On My Boots”, Sam Hunt’s “Hard To Forget”, and Cody Johnson’s “’Til You Can’t”, to name a few. Jenee has toured with many artists since 2001, some of the most notable being Blake Shelton, Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Terri Clark, Martina McBride, Don Williams, and Larry Cordle. As a songwriter, Fleenor has written with the best in the business and was nominated for an IBMA award when The Grascal’s and Dolly Parton recorded “I Am Strong”. In 2019 she made her debut as an artist on the Grand Ole Opry following the release of her song “Fiddle and Steel.” Most currently, Jenee has formed a new acoustic supergroup called the Wood Box Heroes, serving as the conduit for this insanely talented lady to travel back into the land of her singer/songwriter youth as the band finishes up their all-original debut album due out this fall. You can also catch her on tour with George Strait!
