Tsimo

Lesotho born Tśimoloho Pearl Lekaota affectionately known as Tśimo, grew up in the Free State province in South Africa. Her love for music began at age 12, starting out as a songwriter long before discovering her love for singing and stage. Having spent years finding a unique writing style and vocal approach to her music, she released her first project in 2021. "Ngiyahamba", naturally portrayed her musical influences, with elements of house music and afropop, while uniquely written in Sesotho and Xhosa as an ode to her love for African languages and story telling through the lens of African woman. She has continued to trail blaze her own path in the genres of Afrohouse, Afropop, and Afrobeat, with collaborations with producers across each genre, and from all over the world, proving that she is a powerhouse in her own right. Tśimo, songwriter, singer and actress, who also proudly carries the name "MaAfrika" is a budding and diverse artist who is set to make her mark in Africa and beyond. Her latest offering, Khetho ea ka, is a beautiful love story and fusion of South African Afropop and soul sounds.
