Biography & Metadata

Identical twin sisters, Katelyn and Laurie Shook have been harmonizing with each other since they came out of the womb! After 10 years of being choir nerds, they began writing songs together in college and never really stopped, making a career out of making indie folk pop music together for nearly 20 years. They moved to Portland in 2009, toured the country for many years and have since found their "forever band" of wonderful humans and musicians: Niko "Slice" Daoussis on Guitar, mandolin, and bass; Aber Miller on keys and key bass, and Alex Radakovich on drums. The band is known for their hauntingly angelic twin harmonies, deep groove, thoughtful melodies, weird vocal tricks with telephones and beatboxing and the infamous giant percussive Golden Egg that grants wishes. Their joy of performing together is always apparent, collaborative and contagious! At every show they invite you in, and their hope is that you walk away feeling more like yourself than you did before you came.
