Biography & Metadata

Timothy and the Apocalypse makes cinematic electronica for the spaces between late nights, long drives and bad decisions. Blurring melodic electronica, downtempo, trip-hop and left-field pop, the project is built around atmosphere, emotion and detail. Warm synths, fractured beats, organic textures and intimate vocals sit inside productions that feel widescreen without losing their humanity. Since 2021, Timothy and the Apocalypse has built an international audience through a deep catalogue, Spotify editorial support, radio, personalised discovery and independent playlists around the world, with tracks increasingly finding listeners through Discover Weekly, Radio, Daylist and other algorithmic spaces. Triple J’s Tom Forrest summed it up simply: “So many areas to groove in with this track! Tune!” A&R Factory described the project as having “built a reputation for composing cinematic electronica infused with intimate depth.” Part music project, part visual world, Timothy and the Apocalypse draws as much from landscape, travel and photography as it does from the club or studio. The result is music that feels immersive, restless and slightly untethered from genre. For people who like their electronic music emotional, atmospheric and a little strange.
