Antarctic Wastelands

Soundtracks for wandering souls. Antarctic Wastelands is the ambient music moniker of Hong Kong-based producer Ben Tatlow. Focusing primarily on environmental themes of beauty, desolation and the diverse nature in between, his music has been described as “ambient soundscapes with luminous textures and depths” by Bandcamp, while Opus Zine shared that his 2022 album Mysteries “evokes abandoned, weatherbeaten places that lie far removed from the realm of normal human activity.” Inspired by the unexplained and unexplored mysteries of existence across our universe, as well as the interconnectedness of life on our planet, Antarctic Wastelands' multi-year 'Worlds' series concluded in 2026 with the release of Worlds: Complete. Alongside Antarctic Wastelands, Ben produces music as Memories of the Forgotten, as Salt Of The Sound & Narrow Skies with his wife Anita Tatlow, as well as running the indie ambient label Echoes Blue Music.
