Tom Tikka & The Missing Hubcaps

Tom Tikka signed his first recording contract on his 21st birthday with Olarin Musiikki, a small independent label based in Espoo, Finland. Recording under the alias Tom Spark, he released a three-song EP. Unfortunately, the EP disappeared almost as quickly as it was released. Disappointed, Tom stepped away from music for several years. He eventually returned to songwriting after his brother, Lappe Holopainen, suggested they form a songwriting partnership. Lappe had founded a new band he believed had great potential and needed strong material for the project. This band became Carmen Gray. Carmen Gray signed with Sony/BMG in 2005 and went on to release three albums and one EP. The band’s entire catalog—including radio hits such as “Lost In My Mind Again,” “Gates Of Loneliness,” and “Life Can Be Beautiful”—was written by Tom Tikka and Lappe Holopainen. After Carmen Gray disbanded in 2013, Tikka formed The Impersonators with poet Antti Autio. In 2017, the band signed with the German label FBP and released the well-received "Life Of Grant". In 2020, Tom launched his solo career and has since released three critically acclaimed albums on One Media UK. He has been featured in publications such as Thrive Global, Authority Magazine, Melody Maker Magazine, Ballroom Blitz, The Hollywood Digest, and VENTS Magazine, among others. Tikka is a two-time ISSA Award winner and has also been nominated for both the Josie Music Awards and the Hollywood Music in Media Awards.
