Biography & Metadata

A fixture of London’s underground, Korean DJ sooyeon is known for high-energy, techno-focused sets that balance precision with a clear sonic identity. Defined by driving rhythms, deep sub-bass and rolling percussion, her selections are built for late-night intensity. She has developed a distinct style that has earned the seal of approval of globally-renowned artists, fellow DJs and iconic brands. Her 2024 debut EP, Block N Delete, released via Jamz Supernova’s Future Bounce label, was hailed as one of the best EP’s of 2024 by Mixmag, the record chronicles the creation and destruction of a romantic relationship in the digital age and is a no-nonsense love letter to the club. She followed up her acclaimed debut EP with two hypnotic techno cuts on Cross Country, whilst also delving into a slightly poppier lane with the viral single Bad Boys with Jax Jones & Rebecca Black, which she co produced and remixed by MCR-T and DJ Love. In 2025, she released more than a friend, a club record that had strong traction across the club and festival circuit. The release received an official remix from drum & bass pioneer dBridge. She closed out the year with her first official remix for K-pop powerhouse Hearts2Hearts on the Focus remix album alongside DJ Seinfeld & Young Franco. With a growing catalogue & a series of standout shows from Glastonbury to Fabric, and more grassroots clubs such as Ambers alongside Batu, sooyeon continues to build a sound shaped by late-night dancefloors.
