Apoorvaa Deshpande

Apoorvaa has been fortunate to be born in a musical family and has been a student of music since her childhood. She has been primarily trained in Hindustani classical music and has been a recipient of the prestigious CCRT scholarship by the Government of India for her music. She is also a senior fellow with IndianRaga, the global platform for Indian performing arts, and has been part of some cutting edge productions such as Padhaaro Mhaare Des, the classic folk song in a contemporary format and Swar Saadhana which is one of her most loved pieces bout how the pursuit of music brings us joy :). Apoorvaa likes to use her creative juices to combine traditional Indian compositions with fresh, contemporary soundscapes and to present the beautiful melodies for everyone to enjoy! That has led to innovative pieces such as Ghoongarava, Biraj Me Dhoom, and her recent release Beauty & Bihag. Being a composer and lyricist, she often likes to pen her life experiences and express them through music.
