Suneera Sumanga

Subasinghe Nishshanka Suneera Sumanga Dias, widely known as Suneera Sumanga, is a distinguished Sri Lankan singer and musician born on May 8, 1997, in Polgahahena village, Ragama. He gained prominence as the winner of the seventh season of the singing reality competition Derana Dream Star and is the founder and lead vocalist of the live band "Vayana." Suneera's musical journey began in his early years, excelling in school singing competitions and later earning accolades in national contests. He is celebrated for his renditions of classical songs, particularly those of his idol W.D. Amaradeva. In addition to his competitive achievements, Suneera has released several solo tracks, including "Santhana Susum" and "Parama Amara Guru," the latter serving as a tribute to Amaradeva. In 2018, he released his first solo “Santhana Susum” which was based on Peradeniya University. Since then he released many solo tracks such as “Mama Ohomai Hamadamath”, “Nawum Sanda Awith”, “Pale Pol Athu”, “Mini Otunu” including major hits like "Nela Ganumata", "Dineka Apitath Weradila Athi", "Adare Mal", "Thaththage Alu", "Ahinda Man Parana Kaviyak" and "Rathriya Sondurui Kiya". His latest music track is scheduled to release on 29th of November 2024 as "Sina Handana".
