Dysplay

Dysplay is the boundless and subversive collaboration of musical journeymen Eric Scullin and Devin Hoffman. The two met in college pursuing entirely different paths with music which eventually crossed and gave birth to their explorative, genre-bending project. Eric had spent most of high school and college with his psych-rock outfit Dolphin City before getting swooped up into the world of producing, writing and touring with a wild resume of names like RZA, LP, NCT 127 and Royce Da 5'9". After leaving AWOLNATION at the height of their smash hit “Sail” to pursue a broader range of projects, Devin spent the last decade recording, writing and producing with his own expansive list of artists from Lorde, Bon Iver, Orla Gartland to Lime Cordiale, while simultaneously working under Hans Zimmer on dozens of film and television scores. Feeling a sense of musical whiplash, Devin and Eric decided to put all their experience into the blender now known as Dysplay. While Devin moved to the woods of the Hudson Valley, NY in early 2023, Eric stayed in Los Angeles and they continued to work remotely. Their shared experience in vastly different environments coupled with an unrelenting ride through the music world breeds a musical playground for the two that even they will admit never ceases to surprise.
