Biography & Metadata

Edgar Sandoval Jr is a Cincinnati-born artist whose musical journey began in 2013, crafting heartfelt songs on his guitar and sharing them on YouTube. After high school, his passion led him to Los Angeles, where he pursued creative opportunities and put college on pause to chase his dream. When his family relocated to Seattle in 2015, Edgar began writing toplines for European producers, building an international network while finishing his degree. In 2018, he co-founded the pop/rap duo Cape Lions, earning millions of streams, label interest, and ghostwriting placements. After graduation, fate intervened when Edgar met his future wife, Emilee, through a Spotify-curated playlist. Encouraging her to post covers on TikTok would ultimately lead to her breakout moment on the platinum-certified hit “ily (I love you baby)” by Surf Mesa. In 2020, amid the global pandemic, Edgar turned to TikTok with a viral experiment called Music With Edgar. His song “Stuck Up” skyrocketed to #4 on the U.S. Viral Chart, marking a defining moment in his career. Following that success—and a season of personal refinement—Edgar embraced a new mission: to give modern Christian music a fresh voice. Today, he creates songs that fuse pop sensibilities with faith-filled storytelling, using his platform to glorify Jesus Christ and inspire a generation seeking authenticity and hope.
