Sci-Fi Godfather

Sci-Fi Godfather is the primary alias of PA native singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer Ryan Morro. Dark yet energetic, his Goth Alt-Pop songwriting style is an eclectic blend of post-punk, dream pop, and shoegaze that scream influence ranging from The Cure, David Bowie, & King Krule to Deftones & Nirvana. Despite doing virtually everything himself in the studio, Ryan is accompanied by a full live band that he has performed with at various venues in the Philly and New York area since 2021. A nostalgic escape from love and paranoia, the newest EP “High Octane” radiates the melodic goth pop flavors of Sci-Fi Godfather via a surreal yet chaotic perspective. Clocking in at just over fifteen minutes long, this new project primarily consists of wailing guitar lines, thunderous live drums, and hypnotic synthesizer-dense soundscapes. These six new songs also feature Sci-Fi at his most energetic and emotionally charged, equally displaying his further growth as both a singer and a songwriter.
