R. Armando Morabito

Ray Armando Morabito, formerly known professionally as R. Armando Morabito, is an American music composer, producer, and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California. He was born in Central Asia near Dushanbe, Tajikistan, in the early ‘80s, and was subsequently adopted and raised in northern Italy. Ray spent most of his twenties in London, England, where he earned degrees in Art and Filmmaking before starting his career as a director. He produced and directed commercials and promotional videos throughout England and Europe, and also pursued his interest in music by composing scores for short films and documentaries. In 2013, Ray shifted to music composition as his full-time career after moving to the United States. Since then, he has gained recognition as an independent artist on platforms such as YouTube, social media, and online music retailers. He also co-founded MG Music International, a Los Angeles-based production music company, with his then-partner, Grammy-nominated cellist and composer Tina Guo, collaborating on numerous projects. Many of Ray’s compositions have been licensed for movie trailers, television series, commercials, and video game advertisements. His music has appeared on major media networks in the United States and internationally, including ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, MTV, The CW, USA Network, National Geographic, and Discovery Channel.
