Biography & Metadata

Born and raised in Tyler, TX, 26-year-old Tommy Acker grew up surrounded by family, friends, sports, and church. Music was always a deep passion, but it wasn’t until his senior year of high school that he picked up a guitar and started playing. After high school, he dedicated two years to a service mission, putting music on pause. But when he returned, his passion reignited, and he began taking writing and playing more seriously. With time, practice, and encouragement from friends, he honed his craft and eventually recorded his first songs. Thanks to the power of social media, his song “How To Not” took off, bringing in over 3.5 Million streams and a growing fanbase. Tommy has collected over 5 Million global streams in his first few months of pursuing a music career. Now, Tommy is embracing the Nashville journey, landing opening slots on tours such as Megan Moroney’s “Am I Okay?” Tour and Hudson Westbrook’s 2025 Summer Tour. Tommy was found by legendary songwriter, Jessi Alexander, best known for hits such as Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb” and Luke Combs’ “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma”. Jessi signed Tommy to his first publishing deal under Warner Chappell. He’s excited to see where music takes him as he continues doing what he loves.
