Paulo and the Problems

Paulo Ward is a New Jersey-born multi-instrumentalist, producer, DJ, and engineer whose sound blends vintage soul, classic R&B, and modern hip-hop. Raised on classics like The Beatles and Motown vinyl with views of the NYC skyline, Paulo’s love of music started early — playing his first gig at age 10 and hustling through high school to buy used records and instruments. After years behind the scenes at indie label Fogwood Records, Paulo formed Paulo and the Problems — a collaborative band featuring fellow labelmates. Their second album, Stupid Sexy Paulo, drops July 11, 2025, with a sound that’s raw, funky, and full of heart. The first single, “First of the Month” (feat. Saynave), is out now, followed by “Summer Rain” (feat. Mekfly) and “Lotus Blanc” (feat. Dude Low). Each track is paired with a nostalgic animated music video starring the band’s dog and mascot, Nico.
