Daniel Dor

Drummer, multi-instrumentalist Daniel Dor was born in Tel-Aviv to a family of musicians, building his first drum set out of pots and pans at the early age of 10. A 2020 relocation to the serene American Southwest has inspired his solo piano album ‘Four Petals’ – released on Raw Tapes Records – exploring his innovative rhythmic method called The Flower. His art exhibition 'Four Petals In A Room' delves further into his fascination with rhythmic symmetry through visual and auditory mediums. Recently, in collaboration with Nitai Hershkovits, they released ’The Garden Suite’, an album that pushes the boundaries of sound, mapping melodies onto rhythmic patterns. As a lecturer and clinician, Daniel teaches his method at the Jerusalem Academy of Dance and Music, as well as masterclasses at various institutions. Dor performs around the globe, collaborating with artists such as NOA, Avishai Cohen, Chano Dominguez, Yemen Blues and many others.
