Born in Kampala, Walter Yt has been singing since before he could talk. He grew up playing guitar and performing in church until Sweetbeats Studios discovered him and signed the young, ambitious talent. Inspired by his roots, everyday moments, and lived experiences, Walter shapes an accessible Afropop sound defined by bright melodies and unforgettable hooks. With his guitar as the starting point, he blends traditional Ugandan sounds into a modern, youthful vibe. Since releasing his first album in 2022, he has begun making a serious impact on the Ugandan music industry. His sound resonates deeply at home while setting its sights on audiences worldwide.
