The Quiet North

The Quiet North is the solo project of Norwegian producer Fredrik Kristiansen. Rooted in Nordic days and neon-lit nights, he blends melancholic folk and ambient textures into a cinematic universe. Fredrik’s path began in tech and design, until music became the place where creativity felt natural again. What started as a creative outlet in summer 2025 quickly grew into an international audience. His productions are shaped by musicians from around the world. Ukrainian multi-instrumentalist Vitaliy Kozubenko has helped define The Quiet North sound from the beginning, contributing across the debut album and new recordings on guitar, bass, drums and arrangements. He is joined by South African drummer Warren Van Wyk, Spanish producer and multi-instrumentalist Juan Peralta, and pianist and composer Artem Mikaelian. Brazilian engineer Livio Volpe has mixed and mastered much of the catalogue. Collaborators include Thom Hell (NO), Heather Janssen (CA), VÂN SCOTT (US), Alex Tilley (AU), Ollie Wade (UK), Bjørn Henrik Brandtenborg (NO) and Fitz Brothers (AT). From São Paulo and Mexico City to London, Stockholm and Oslo, The Quiet North has found an audience far beyond Norway. With the UK and Germany among its strongest markets, the project connects across borders through emotional clarity, cinematic textures and northern light.
