JRH

JRH is songwriter Richard Hicks, who released his debut album after more than three decades in business—and a lifetime of gathering stories worth telling. Blending Southern country soul, Americana, and rock, his music explores attraction, vulnerability, second chances, and the memories that stay long after someone leaves. Influenced by the emotional honesty of Elvis Presley, JRH brings warmth, roadhouse grit, and a cinematic sense of place to songs rooted in personal experience. His eight-song debut, Where You Can Breathe, moves from the tender invitation of “If You Let Me” to the restless energy of “Round & Round.” Together, the songs explore the moments when taking a chance on someone changes everything. The stories continue on the Back Porch, where JRH shares exclusive acoustic recordings and the experiences behind the songs. Follow JRH for new releases. There’s more life left to write about.
