MJ Wemoto

A multi-genre artist, rap vocalist, and producer born in the City of Kings, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and raised in Gweru. First entered the studio in 2002, landed a radio jingle on Radio 3, and was signed to a local label by 2003. After stepping away for a decade to focus on life and studies, the mic came back in 2020 and has not stopped since. Now with 80+ releases spanning Amapiano, Sgija, Afro House, Kizomba, Zouk, Kompa Gouyad, and more. Also the voice behind Moto Moto Music, one of the longest-running independent African music review channels with 400+ reviews and over 1 million views. First musical love was Kwaito and Shangaan Disco from South Africa, back when it was all called Di-Gong.
