LUMEN

Lumen is a project by Luca Mendoza, a Los Angeles based composer, producer, and pianist. As a teenager, he became a Los Angeles Philharmonic Composer Fellow and toured across four continents as a jazz pianist. After being named Downbeat SMA Best Soloist four years in a row, he started Lumen, blending festival-ready electronic music. hip-hop, and world music with his background in the jazz and classical avant-garde. He is also a lecturer at USC, the musical director for the Grammy Nominee Party and Grammy Songwriting program, a National Young Arts winner, a Los Angeles Music Center Spotlight Grand Prize winner, and a multi ASCAP award winning composer.
