Emerging from Southern California, Of Vizions blends immersive synth-pop, post-punk energy, and cinematic soundscapes into a sound that is emotionally raw and hypnotic. Founded by frontman Brandon Apgar, the project combines soaring vocals, infectious hooks, pulsating synths, atmospheric textures, and the driving intensity of alternative rock. Originally from Ventura, California, and now based in Los Angeles, Apgar draws inspiration from a lifetime of eclectic musical influences. As a child, he spent time listening to the greats with his dad on the beaches of Ventura, discovering the timeless sounds of Queen, The Beatles, U2, The Doors, and The Rolling Stones. A lover of all music, his wide-ranging taste spans generations and genres. Growing up in Ventura, where skateboarding and punk rock were a way of life, ’90s California punk became another defining influence. Bands like Rancid, Pennywise, Green Day, NOFX, Bad Religion, Social Distortion, and Blink 182 helped shape a deeply personal piece of his artistic identity. Equally influential is the darker side of his sound, inspired by the synth-driven darkness of Depeche Mode, the haunting romanticism of The Cure, the hypnotic electronic textures of New Order, and the industrial intensity of Nine Inch Nails. Balancing punk’s rebellious spirit with the emotional depth of darkwave and synth-pop, Of Vizions creates music where harmonious melodies meet poetic escapism, vulnerability meets rebellion, and darkness meets beauty.
