Biography & Metadata
Solarrio is the project of David Barenboim, a producer, songwriter, and lifelong studio rat who builds worlds for a living. Born in Paris to Argentine and Russian parents, raised between continents and never quite belonging to one, his music is a gumbo of everything that shaped him: 80s synthpop, funk, dark electronic pop, and the cinematic pull of cities at night. Sitting somewhere between The Weeknd, Tame Impala, and Gesaffelstein, Solarrio's sound is both nostalgic and forward-leaning, designed to score a Los Angeles that never quite existed but feels more real than the one outside the window. His upcoming EP opens with the single "Light My Fuse", out June 26.
