I wrote Another Life in about 15 minutes last June. The creative process was extremely natural, almost as if the song wrote itself. However it didn’t truly feel completed, It felt like there was another side to the story that I couldn’t tell by myself. Bryant Barnes and I had been talking about working together for a while, and I knew he’d understand the tone of it without me having to over explain shit. I sent it to him, and within a week bro sent his verse back. He tapped into the same energy, just from a different angle & the song felt complete instantly. “Another Life” is a reflection of missed alignment, unrequited love. All that sad bullshit. The experience of emotional stagnation, when you care deeply for someone but realize you unfortunately only exist as a possibility in another universe. It’s a sad but beautiful experience. I’m very excited about this song! It’s authentic, raw & vulnerable. And a layer of myself I’m fine with sharing eternally. Here’s the birth of “Another Life” - Chezile
