Alexander Stahl, known as STEEL, entered the electronic dance music scene in 2010 at age 16, quickly making a name for himself as a DJ around Herne, Germany. Early support from Italobrothers led to a release on their label, followed by warm-up gigs for acts like MOGUAI and VIZE. In 2024, his sets at Taylor Swift's "Taylortown" in Gelsenkirchen earned him a feature on the Tagesschau. His tracks and remixes have regularly aired on outlets like 1LIVE and RTLZWEI. After successful releases on Kontor Records, he reached a major milestone in 2025 with Waterfalls—a collaboration with Australian artist GRATIFY and singer Amanda Wilson (known for Seek Bromance by Avicii) on Universal’s Intercord Records. His credits also include work with Felix Harrer and DJ Sammy. For the 2026 World Cup, STEEL teamed up with 90s legends Right Said Fred (I'm Too Sexy) to re-record their anthem Stand Up (For the Champions). With over 50 million streams—including 19+ million on Spotify for Stand by Me—STEEL has built an international presence. As a passionate guitarist and pianist, he avoids rigid genre boundaries to showcase the full diversity of electronic music.
