The Robot Scientists

Markus Schneider and Stefan Maurer form the DJ duo The Robot Scientists since 2007. The two "Robots" call their sound "Cosmic & Magico Disco", a fun, futuristic and highly energetic melange of New Wave, Italo Disco and House. On social media such as Soundcloud, Mixcloud and Facebook, The Robot Scientists have already garnered over 10,000 fans and followers from around the world. Their stylish, hit-oriented and uplifing DJ sets have enchanted audiences in Berlin, Paris or Barcelona. They have shared stages with disco legend Giorgio Moroder and hip-hop underground stars Die Antwoord for good mood, higher states of consciousness and transcendental experiences. After the release of their debut single "Space Love" on the Parisian label "Space Factory" by "International DJ Gigolo" David Caretta in the earlier days of the Disco revival in 2009, the two passionate record collectors founded their own label Emerald & Doreen in 2011. Since then, they have released music there from over 300 highly talented vanguard artists from all over the world, pioneering new underground genres like Dark Disco or Chuggy Acid long before other, larger Techno and House labels and artists got an idea of it. They also are the curators of the DJ mix series "Something Spæcial" which they launched in 2014, shortly before they discovered the likeminded "A Love from Outer Space" live show from DJ legend Andrew Weatherall.
