Age of Life

AGE OF LIFE is the solo project of Chris Burda, co-founder and composer of the cinematic post-rock band Collapse Under The Empire. Blending cinematic post-rock, ambient textures, electronic elements and atmospheric soundscapes, Age of Life explores the vast dimensions of time, transformation and evolution. At its core is a long-form musical journey through 542 million years of Earth's history — from the emergence and evolution of life to extinction, silence and the possibility of renewal. Each composition represents an era, a state of being, an emotional window in time. Conceived as an interconnected body of work, the project unfolds across multiple releases, with each chapter contributing to a larger evolutionary narrative. Emergence – Part I, the first full-length album, will be released on October 30, 2026. Its eight chapters trace the rise and diversity of life, leading through transformation and extinction into the silence that follows. The journey continues with Transformation – Part II, scheduled for October 2027. Time. Transformation. Evolution.
