Cryptadia

Cryptadia is an independent progressive metal project by multi-instrumentalist and producer Jesse Gray (ex-Moon Pigeons, flowsnake), making its debut in early 2024 with the album 'To Be Kept Hidden' which is named after the literal translation of the Cryptadia (κρυπτάδια) from ancient Greek. Following the album with a few standalone singles, Cryptadia promptly released another album in 2025 titled 'At The Mountains Of Madness' named after the acclaimed H.P. Lovecraft book, and featuring a growling beast known as Jared John on five of the six songs, with one being an instrumental. Cryptadia stands among those metal acts who defy tradition and push the boundaries of musical technicality and artistry, utilizing both random and strategic numerical patterns to make complex pieces which take the listener on a voyage; acts such as Northlane, ERRA, TesseracT, Periphery, Rivers of Nihil, Between The Buried And Me, Invent Animate. There are currently new Cryptadia workings in progress, to be revealed in early 2027 (not to be kept hidden).
