Carlos Herrera, known artistically as Charlie Stooks, is a producer, composer, and audio engineer based in Mexico City. His journey into music production began at the age of 13, deeply influenced by the distinctive sounds of progressive house, particularly the iconic pryda snare, which shaped his early creative approach. Driven by a constant pursuit of originality, he debuted with Spectacles in 2017, establishing his presence in the electronic music scene with a style that emphasized melodic depth and meticulously crafted details. Over the years, his artistic vision has evolved, leading him to explore new directions within electronic music. Currently, his work focuses on a dynamic and commercially driven interpretation of house music, combining refined production techniques with high-energy rhythms designed to captivate a broader audience. Beyond electronic music, Carlos expands his creative reach through CVRLO, a reggaeton and latin pop project. Inspired by the rising reggaeton mexa movement, this project merges traditional elements of the genre with a modern aesthetic, reflecting the evolution of urban music in Mexico. With a passion that spans multiple genres and styles, Charlie Stooks continues to develop his artistic identity, exploring textures and structures that embody his unique vision in music production.
