Albin Lee Meldau

Albin Lee Meldau's music draws on the warmth of soul and the darker grain of blues, carried by a voice that moves between vulnerability and full-throated intensity. His songs look at longing, self-deception, love and loss with tenderness and an unflinching eye. His new single, Lonely by Another Name, was recorded in his hometown of Gothenburg with his band and producer Old Sea Brigade. Written with Peter Kvint and Sharon Vaughn, it is Americana with deep soul roots: a song about the freedom we chase and the loneliness it can bring. Breakthrough single "Lou Lou" (2016) took him far beyond Sweden, with tours across Europe and the US, SXSW and an NPR Tiny Desk Concert. Since then he has released the albums About You, På svenska and Discomforts, shared stages with Leon Bridges and Jessie Ware, and sold out Avicii Arena with Gränslandet Symphony Orchestra. "Josefin" went six-times platinum, and his music has passed half a billion streams.
