​​​​​​​Born into a non-artistic family, Spanish musician modus (real name Pablo "Paul" Pérez) surrounded himself with music from an early age. Following more than a decade of piano and classical studies, he began his solo project in 2014, and has since cemented himself as the prime proponent of 'Astral Bass', a seamless blend of sci-fi electronic and orchestral sounds that ranges from reality to fantasy; from the grounded & playful to the mythical & otherworldly. His tightly interconnected discography blurs the line between storytelling, worldbuilding and sound, and pushes the envelope for what's possible with the medium. He is touted by household names in the EDM scene & award-winning film composers alike, such as Au5, Chime, Tokyo Machine, Teminite or Emmy winner Stephen Spies, his ultimate vision to share the decks with a live orchestra in a mix of traditional and new. modus pioneers the sound of the realm beyond; music from the heart, for the mind.
